Fixed Broadband Internet Average Speed by Country Figure of Last July!
The website called Speedtest (Okla) publishes information about the average speed of data transfer of mobile internet and broadband internet of countries all over the world. According to their Global Index, the average fixed broadband Internet download speed used around the world in July 2024 was 93.94 Mbps and the upload speed was 47.77 Mbps. The UAE, the richest country in the Middle East, offers the most commercial high-speed fixed broadband internet service.
According to the data provided by the Speedtest Okla website (Global Index), the average data transfer rate of fixed broadband Internet in the United Arab Emirates, which ranks first in the world, was 291.85 Mbps as of July 2024. And with a speed of 290.86 Mbps, the small country of East Asia, Singapore is at the second place and Hong Kong is at the third place with a speed of 277.26 Mbps.
However, in terms of mobile internet speed, the UAE ranks first in the world with an average mobile internet speed of 359.85 Mbps. On the other hand, in terms of city-based mobile internet speed, Qatar's 'Ar Rayan' is ranked first with an average download speed of 451.02 Mbps and Chile's 'Valparaiso' is ranked first with an average download speed of 320.47 Mbps in terms of fixed broadband internet speed.
Moreover, in terms of high-speed fixed broadband internet usage, Chile is at the fourth place with 263.89 Mbps and America is at the fifth place with 243.10 Mbps speed. On the other hand, Thailand at 6th place 231.86 Mbps, Iceland at 7th place 226.28 Mbps, France at 8th place 226.21 Mbps, Denmark at 9th place 219.44 Mbps and Spain at 10th place was 207.90 Mbps download speed.
However, the world's second largest economy, red giant China, had a broadband internet download speed of 207.66 Mbps at the same time. Moreover, Russia, one of the world's military superpowers, is ranked 61st with a speed of 87.61 Mbps. The UK ranked 46th in the list with a download speed of 107.47 Mbps, Japan ranked 16th at 194.05 Mbps and South Korea ranked 28th with an average speed of 157.72 Mbps.
Hoch-rivals in the Middle East, Israel, ranked 12th with a speed of 203.67 Mbps, and Iran ranked 146th with an average download speed of just 14.95 Mbps. Moreover, Turkey ranks 107th with 42.69 Mbps speed and Azerbaijan ranks 109th with 40.65 Mbps speed.
The average high-speed broadband internet download speed used in the Middle East countries last July showed quite a surprise. According to the prediction given by the company, the United Arab Emirates has written its name at the 1st place in the world with a speed of 291.85 Mbps. Apart from this, the name of Saudi Arabia is at the 45th position with 111.86 Mbps speed. Meanwhile, Kuwait is in 20th place with 181.41 Mbps, Qatar is in 25th place with 162.58 Mbps, Jordan is in 33rd place with 146.47 Mbps speed and Oman is in 77th place with 71.23 Mbps average speed.
Meanwhile, among South Asian countries, Nepal ranks 75th with an average speed of 73.33 Mbps, India ranks 86th with an average speed of 63.88 Mbps, Bangladesh ranks 101st with an average speed of 48.28 Mbps, Sri Lanka ranks 131 with an average speed of 22.81 Mbps. At the 1st position, Pakistan is ranked 145th with a speed of 15.39 Mbps. At the very bottom of the speedtest rankings, Afghanistan sits at the 162nd position with an average speed of just 3.56 Mbps.
